"To be a missioner is to go where

you are needed,

but not wanted,

and stay until you are wanted,

but no longer needed."*

Yep-
that's pretty much where we're at right now.

This quote, from a Catholic missionary to Hawaii, appeared in the Honolulu Star-Bulletin upon the closing down of a beloved mission in Honolulu in 1997. I do not remember the man's name or the details, but the quote has stayed with me ever since.

Hi Cam....I found your blog and have enjoyed so much reading it. My husband and I are IMB m's in Mozmabique and are in the throes of learning Portuguese from a Brasileira! We have 4 kids....so I know all about passing around sicknesses! :-) Your post about cleaning up vomit made me laugh out loud. This is our 9th year on the field (have transferred twice).
I look forward to reading more about your family. Angie

Sounds like something from the movie, "Molokai" about a priest that serves lepers in Hawaii in the 1800s
